Did you know the library is one place your child can build confidence reading to a furry friend. Bella, the Golden Retriever, is a Certified Therapy dog who visits certain Mondays and she loves when kids read to her.

Call 651-275-4338 or stop by the Public Services Desk next time you are in to register for a 15 minute time slot.

Join us for stories, songs, fingerplays and more to encourage the development of early literacy skills. For children birth to 24 months & caregivers. Siblings welcome.

Donate your gently used books to the Friends of the Stillwater Public Library.  The Friends will collect books on Saturday, October 27 and Saturday, November 3 from 10:30 am – 3:00 pm in the library parking ramp on Third Street. 

None of the following items will be accepted: encyclopedias, magazines, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, textbooks, religious materials, National Geographic, videos, cassettes, partially used puzzle books.

"TAB" is open to teens in grades 7-12. If you know what you want to see in the library, have suggestions for titles to order or programming you want to help plan, put in an application today. Applications can be found in the teen library. TAB Meetings are generally the first Monday of the month through the school year from 5-6 pm.

There are many different ways you can be involved so give it a try! Examples of things the TAB has been involved with include helping kids with crafts or games at library events, decorating a bulletin board or creating art for the newly redesigned Teen Library, writing book reviews, talking about popular new books (and receive ARCs!), and sponsoring teen programming like October Read Month, Teen Tech Week. etc.

A preview sale will be offered to members of the Friends group only on Wednesday, November 7 from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm.  Not a member?  Join at the door. 

The book sale will open to the public on Thursday, November 8 from 10:15 am–7:30 pm.  The sale continues on Friday, November 9 from 10:15 am–4:30 pm and on Saturday, November 10 from 10:15 am–4:30 pm.

Stillwater Public Library is governed by a nine-person Board of Trustees appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The Board of Trustees is the policy making body for the library. Board members may serve up to three terms of three years each. According to City ordinance, trustees must be residents of the City of Stillwater. Meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of the month, in Margaret Rivers A at the library, at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
