Join the Washington County Library and Washington County Parks for a snowshoe story stroll starting at the Nordic Center at the Lake Elmo Park Reserve at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24. Hot cocoa and s’mores will be served following this family friendly stroll. All ages are welcome. Please RSVP to Sara Armstrong at 651-430-4325.

A limited number of snowshoes will be available, please let Parks know if you need snowshoes when you RSVP. Participants are encouraged to bring their own snowshoes.

There is a $7 parking permit charge for visitors who do not have a Washington County Parks permit.

Are you the kind of person who can tell stories that keep your friends on the edge of their sleeping bags? Then join us and explore different ways to come up with story ideas, and then shape them into engaging, fun stories  - complete with characters, plot, and setting - that you can share with all your friends! This class is for children in grades 4-7. Registration Required.

Did you know the library is one place your child can build confidence reading to a furry friend. Bella, the Golden Retriever, is a Certified Therapy dog who visits certain Mondays and she loves when kids read to her.

Call 651-430-4876 or stop by the Public Services Desk next time you are in to register for a 15 minute time slot.

This program is geared toward kids ages 7-12.

The first Monday of each month will be focused on exploring and creating Zines! - you make it happen. Take your creations with you and drop-in for more each week. No registration needed. Stop by between 4-5 pm and see what's happening!

Read, play, sing, talk, and write together with stories and activities to develop early literacy skills for toddlers and preschoolers. Siblings welcome. For ages 2–6. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

In addition to being fun, making things with your hands has many benefits to child development. Supplies and a sample will be available each week. This self paced activity for you to enjoy with your child will be set up in the storytime room with materials available from 3-6 p.m. each Wednesday.

"TAB" is open to teens in grades 7-12. If you know what you want to see in the library, have suggestions for titles to order or programming you want to help plan, put in an application today. Applications can be found in the teen library. TAB Meetings are generally the first Monday of the month through the school year from 5-6 pm.

There are many different ways you can be involved so give it a try! Examples of things the TAB has been involved with include helping kids with crafts or games at library events, decorating a bulletin board or creating art for the newly redesigned Teen Library, writing book reviews, talking about popular new books (and received ARC's!), and sponsoring teen programming like October Read Month, Teen Tech Week. etc.

Stillwater Public Library is governed by a nine-person Board of Trustees appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The Board of Trustees is the policy making body for the library. Board members may serve up to three terms of three years each. According to City ordinance, trustees must be residents of the City of Stillwater. Meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of the month, in Margaret Rivers A at the library, at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
